For this reason, each employee must complete a 10-hour OSHA course of construction training and a 30-hour OSHA course in further education of construction safety and policies. All contractors receive an Experience Modification Rate (EMR). OSHA analyzes and compares the safety records of similar contractors and calculates the EMR rating. The “average” company receives an EMR rating of 1.0. A score of less than 1.0 is considered a better rating and we proudly have a rating of .77
